D.O.B.: 1989
German cameraman and photographer, lives and works in Cologne and Vienna.
His photographic beginnings lie in the documentation of graffiti,
nowadays Alexander Eckhardt's eye seeks the interesting in the everyday life of a traveller.
His scenic photographs often gain a socio-critical note through subtle allusions,
without bringing this too much to the fore through deliberate emotionalization.
Eckhardt's flair for the surreal meta-level in everyday situations leaves the viewer amused at best,
but in most cases rather thoughtful. The often harsh visual language leaves no room for relativization,
in other words - It has to be looked at.
In addition to corporate and fashion, his film work also includes short documentary films about contemporary artists.
In doing so, Eckhardt adapts to the respective artist without neglecting his own visual language.
